Hello

We traded our Pup for a new 2013 Passport 2300bh and will be picking it up Friday. Excited and nervous at the same time. Trying to learn as much as possible before hand as this is our first travel trailer. Never towed anything this large and hoping it won't take me as long learning how to back it in a space as it did with our pop up.

I think that you will find that it is easier to back a longer unit that a shorter one. Good luck with the new trailer.

Same way I felt, actually easier to back longer ones in. I just make sure someone is back there to watch as I back. Welcome!

Congratulations on your new travel trailer and get ready to have lots of fun!!! We were nervous about our new Premier that is 34ft long, but after the first trip it wasn't as hard a we thought. We just took our time and backing in only took two tries. It is easier if you have someone standing in the back to help guide you.
WELCOME TO THE KEYSTONE FAMILY!

Congrats and welcome, you will be fine and you will love it. Take it over to an industrial park or high schhol or other big lot, drive it around, back into parking spaces, back up next to curbs etc. You will find that it is pretty easy. The key to getting into sites is pulling up past the site enough so it can turn in.

Hello and welcome! If you don't already have one, there is a Pre-Delivery Inspection Checklist on the forum for our members to take with them when they do their walk through at the dealership. You can see this list by going to the Keystone Questions section of the forum and look for the sticky by the same name at the top of the page.
It can be downloaded and taken with you.

If I could suggest that any issue or problem that looks like it needs repair, replacing or adjusting to get it done while you at the dealership. It's a lot easier than having to haul your RV back to them and getting it fixed later.

Take your time during the walk through -- you are spending a lot of your hard-earned money to purchase it. Ask a lot of questions, take your time and find out how everything works and where key components are located -- water pump, etc.

You should be spending at least a couple of hours going through it with the service tech.

to the forum! You wont have any trouble take it to the parking lot as noted. Take it nice and easy when you first get out on the road for awhile and you will be just fine.

Hi and think of this. backing the longer trailer as compared to the pop up. how was backing the pop up compared to the lawn tractor with a small cart can't back up the lawn tractor but i can thread a needle with the big trailer. In fact i gave up backing the small cart! I put a hitch plate on the front of the lawn tractor. just take it easy and may spend some time in a parking lot. enjoy the new tt

Our new camper is in the driveway, towed nice and was able to back it in without any damage, definitely a good start. Now to go play in it for the afternoon.
