Thumbs up Positive note on Keystone Hideout 276RLS F/W

Hi all,

I'm a frequent visitor to this forum but seldom post anything. I never see any threads on the Hideout fifth wheel... And don't think I've ever seen one on the road.

I've been living in, yes full-timing, in an entry level Hideout 276RLS for about 18 months. So far I've had zero appliance issues, and only had to repair a floor heating vent which came out of the floor while retracting the slide out and I've had to replace the entry door gas cylinder which literally snapped off in high West Texas winds.

There are a lot of negative reviews on Keystone products which are likely warranted. But, I like to post positive reviews when I'm happy with a product.

This camper definitely isn't designed for this type of living and probably won't last 30 years. But I'm happy with it and have comfortably managed temperatures from 14 degrees to 110 F. I did add a bedroom AC thank goodness!

I would probably buy another, but will upgrade to a higher end model with a bedroom slide. That tiny bedroom is pretty cramped.

Tow vehicle is a 2015 F250 6.2L with B&W Patriot 18k hitch. This combination pulls so much easier than my previous Jayco Jay Flight 30ft travel trailer.

Let me know if you ever have any questions on the Hideout!

Welcome to the forum!!

Always nice to read positive reviews. As with most forums, it seems more posts are asking for help with a problem or complaining about quality.

We just bought a 26RLSWE Hideout, and yes we full time in it. Like you no problems yet. We have only had it for 3 weeks but every thing works. We have been full timing in a 990 Arctic Fox Truck Camper for 4 years and the extra room is great for us. We like small spaces and boon dock a lot so we are good to go. The Hideout is a nice trailer but I do realize it is not as fancy and nice as the more expensive units but it works I look to get several years from it with good maintenance. I know some one with a expensive toy hauler that has a lot of trouble with it so not always the price that makes the difference.

Welcome, don't have a Hideout 5'r, bu do have a Hideout 177LHS, Its a small TT, but plenty of room for the DW, the little dog and I. Been using it every other week since Oct last year and have had no major issues, just a few mnor ones like trim coming un-glued and the mirror frame in the bath room spltting at the corners a bit. All fixable by me...

Welcome from another Hideout pull-trailer owner that is also very happy with it. We haven't stayed in the weather extremes you have but have also had 0 serious issues.
