Bullet premier 30 ripr mods and tweaks.

The wife and I just got a 2017 ripr and love it. This is it 3rd tt so there are a few things we would like to tweak. The first thing we did was add a micro air easy start to the AC unit. I was sceptical, but it exceeds all my expectations. Being able to run the AC on a Honda eu2000i was a prerequisite it buying the tt. I was prepared to downgrade the AC to a13000 btu. But the easy start runs it in eco mode without problem!
Next, I really liked the BAL stab Jack's we had on our last tt so I painted them up and swapped them with it old tt.

The tt was built in December so it was mailed in the salt to the dealer, do there are a few things that need a little touch up, like the gas pipe. Rusty but not too bad yet.
Have a few things I will be working in and sharing here.
Like a compact sub woofer to mount in the cabinet with the outside refrigerator just to take some of the tinny sound from the speakers. Adding some LED lights to the top of the interior slides with dimmers for ambient lights. The stock ceiling lights are so bright. Also bought a glass panel dimmer from Amazon for this.
Not sure how detailed I should get, just let me know if it to much.

One more, not much but it caught my eye. The screws for the furnace vent were steel and rusting already. Now they are stainless.

Welcome to the forum from Radium Hot Springs BC.
Enjoy that new Bullet. Had those BAL stabilizers on the last TT. They are very strong and could actually lift one side of the TT with little effort.

Do you think they do a better job stabilizing than scissor Jack's do?
I plan on building something like strong arm diagonal braces to aid in stabilizing also.
PS thanks for the welcome [emoji4]

I'm interested in hearing his opinion as well. Friend of mine has the C-style stab jacks on his camper, and it's concrete-slab-rock-solid. So i wanted to put some on mine, but upon researching, I didn't find anyone swapping out scissorjacks for C-style stab jacks. So im really curious what 66joej comes back with.

Olsen29 & Jeepshots. The BAL stabilizers were used in conjunction with X-Chocks and screw jacks at the wheels. I did not want to put too much pressure on the outer parts of the frame. The TT was very lightly built 2008 Trail-Cruiser 26' dry weight 4500#. This setup seemed to take most of the movement out when walking around in the unit. The BALs do make a difference in that side to side movement.

Already have the x-chocks, so will have to look more seriously at the screw jacks. Was going to get the UniJacks, but got "the look" from DW that indicated I should re-think that idea...

Bullet premier 30 ripr mods and tweaks

Welcome from a fellow 30ripr owner!

I would like to hear about any other mods on your 'ripper' as I'm always looking to do a new tweak (and yes, I get 'the look' from the DW quite often!). I have to say the JT Strongarms are by far my best tweak.

I'm glad you posted this. I have the same rust issue with my gas line and various spots are around the bumper and hitch. At first I was concerned about where it may have been stored and questioned how long it had been on the lot, but the dealer said basically the same thing you did about trailers built and shipped in winter. He said that they would touch it up when I bring it in after our shakedown trip. Its there for some minor adjustments now, so we'll see how well they clean it up.

Bullet premier 30 ripr mods and tweaks.

I'm replacing the stabilizers with a heavier duty model, as one of ours got taken out by a random piece of rubber in the road. I had also noticed our rear stabs tended to be quite a bit flexible.

This is for our 2014 30RIPR.

When I get some extra $$ I plan on vinyl wrapping the front cap rather than the expense of repainting the already faded front cap.

Can you post some pics of the LED slide lights and dimmer? You're giving me ideas!

Thank you!

And I agree with the in your face puck lights at the head of the bed. I've threatened to flip my wife's side on when the alarm goes off and she really has to be up for some crazy reason. 😜

What type of micro air start did you buy? I'm looking for the same thing so I can run my tailgate on a single 2800w generator. Thanks!

Just tried it. Yep. I got the expected response. "What the hell! We need dimmers on those too! They look like titties." And I guess they do.

Okay. At the camp site so I have some time to post a few mods. I will do it in the order I did the mods.
Next mod is wiring a sub for the out side and running 12v for an inverter and 12v things. Although I have the sub hooked up I don't use it much. When I have the outside TV on I use a pair of Bose computer speakers that are 12v (currently plugged in to 110 don't have the 12v wired up yet.) The subwoofer is not a mod I would recommend.

Why can't they have a av system like Sonos or Chromecast audio?
Anyway. It wasn't to hard to get the wires from the radio to the outdoor entrainment area.
The radio removed. And the back of the pantry with the panels removed. Just to show how easy it is to get the wires out there.

Another thing I did was put vinyl corner protector on the cabinets that will get the most traffic. The first time I took the outdoor refrigerator out of the cubby it scratched the **** out of opening.

I put it in the pass through to the out door entertainment area, garbage can area, both pantries. I think it will help protect the"wood".
It don't take much to scar them up.
