Carbon toy hauler

So I searched the forum and none showed up. Anybody pulling a carbon toy hauler? Wanted to hear some first hand input.

Dwight,

I remembered one new member posting about his purchase...
http://keystonerv.org/forums/showthread.php?t=14543

Not much info available yet, but as you said, that line was just introduced for 2014.

We saw one at Hershey - very nice. Sales guy told us that Impact and Carbon were a 'more affordable' lower level version of fuzion and raptor...no corian, lesser grade fixtures etc. Priced much lower.

Just bought a carbon 327 last week. Haven't took it out yet but it'd awesome. Very high quality. Just a raptor with less TVs and stuff for 15 grand less lol

First post here, but definitely not new to forums. I looked around a good amount at different Toyhaulers, and for the price decided that the Carbon couldn't be beat. I ordered up a Carbon 387 last week with the following options: Second AC/Furnace, Garage Carpet, Garage Door Screen, Single Set of Bunks in Garage, Twilight Interior, some other stuff I can't remember. My girlfriend and myself are ecstatic to get the coach here and put it to work!

We went and viewed every Carbon floor plan available at the dealership and overall I was pleased with the build quality, as stated above the Carbon is what was the Raptor SE line up.

Carbon 327

We picked up ours on Nov 9th. We have been on 2 short weekend trips and a 9 day trip after Christmas. Love it!! Going from a 23 ft. bumper pull, we have some much more room. Can't say enough good things about it. Pulls like a dream. It is a Raptor SE with new name.

Randy, what options did you get? I have been looking at the 327 myself and it is priced right with all the options we want. Love to see some pics if you have them.

Steve, it’s pretty much stock. We did get the pull-down screen in cargo area, removable cargo carpet, Onan 5,500 watt generator, and electric beds with opposing sofas. We were close to buying a Raptor 300 MP when the dealer got the Carbon 327 in. We really like the floor plan. It has a lot of room, tons of storage, and about $15 grand less than the Raptor. The quality is the same as the Raptor.
This is the only pic so far.

Congrats on the new Toy Haulers guys, I really like the 327 as well. Just needed the bigger garage! I'm still chomping at the bit to get the coach here and get it out. How is everyone liking their Carbon so far? Post up some more pics if you have them!

Congrats! I am still deciding on this one. I just found out about the new XLR 340x12HP and it is very similar in price and layout to the 327. The one thing I found out from the dealer is that there is no heat in the garage and the Keystone rep told the dealer to just use a ceramic heater. Not too sure about that at this point. Still lots to decide.

heated garage

New 327 owner here. Just an FYI there is a heater duct on the back wall (the galley back wall) that does put heat back into the garage. We transferred all our stuff from our old trailer to the new one in 30 degree weather. The heater did warm the room but we did run a space heater to take the chill out of the air back there. I would say if you live in a 4 season climate the garage might not be a suitable sleeping space in the winter but it can be heated.

Not interesting in becoming a member of the weight police gang, but your TV looks like it is significantly sagged in that photo.

You overweight on the pin there, or is it just a trick of the photo angle?

I'm a newbie and normally wouldn't ask, but it looks close to bottoming out.

Carbon 327 in our shop now

We purchased a Carbon 327 very recently after looking at many other toyhaulers that are out there. We decided on the Carbon 327 because of its great options, nice floor plan and many other reasons. The Carbon is a new 2014 toyhauler line for Keystone replacing the Raptor SE models of 2013. They price point is lower than the Raptor because the Carbons don't have some of the high end options available on them. These options include 6 way self leveling, rail and cable support for garage ramp, only includes (1) 30 gallon fuel tank, audio/video package is of lesser grade as well as some of the appointments of the interior.
Although there are some lesser quality interior decor items and not as many advanced features of the Raptor, the Carbon is still build with the same high quality that Keystone demands. And personally, we didn't need some of the over the top features the Raptor includes.
