DC fuse for refrigerator?

I am still battling these electrical issues... I just did a run through on my camper and everything is now good except the refrigerator. It is an Atwood (LP and Electric). When I hit the power button several of the lights stay on an it will not allow me to select a mode and it will not chose one on its own.

My owner's manual leads me to believe I have an open DC fuse. Would this just be one of the glass tubular fuses inline from the battery? Not real sure where to start looking.

Thanks for the help!

Where's that fuse?

Hey rcb, we just bought a new to us 2014 bullet 207RBS and found the 3 amp fuse blown on our Atwood refrigerator. I found it in a black box on the back of the unit. Once that was replaced it worked on AC and LP and lights started acting normally as they should.

Sorry y'all this is my first post as a Keystone owner on this forum. Glad to be here too!

Is your refrigerator an Atwood Helium model? If so, there was a problem with control boards and automatic operation. I'm not sure, but I believe that Atwood finally stopped supporting the refrigerators. You might want to call Atwood and confirm that. If you do get any information, please post it here so others will have the information as well. Thanks.

You have to remove the large outside cover for the refrigerator and you should see the wiring and gas line and such and the circuit board is under/in the black box. I only had to remove the top right and bottom left screws to get its cover off. In my photo the fusing missing was the culprit on our unit. Make sure its unplugged when you do this. good luck. The igniter wire (red) for the LP flame is what is showing too in the photo.

There is 120 VAC as well as 12 VDC on that circuit board, so be sure to turn the refrigerator off AND unplug it from the outlet in the back, just above where you'll be working. Touching that board when the refrigerator is turned on and plugged in could be your last RV event !!!!! Be careful and be safe !!!

I unhooked all power and I checked the fuses in the back of the unit. They looked good. I hooked everything back up and tried to turn the refrigerator back on and once again all the check light came on and then all of the lights stayed on except the DC light. So, What now?????

PS Everything else on the camper is still working fine

Not to be short but looks can be deceiving - you need an ohm meter to check them or swap them out with a known good one.

Reviving The Dead here, as I ran in the same issue this weekend with my Atwood he. The refrigerator would work on gas but not on AC Shore power. I ran for the weekend on LP, and then when I got home I dug into it and found the 3 amp fuse blown. Replaced it when all is working as should.
