Pendant lights

I have pendant lights in the galley. Question. Do you lock them down for travel or allow them to swing while driving? Locking them down seems like it would damage them...while letting them swing seems dangerous as well. Not happy with these...probably will replace them....suggestions?

Hmmm, mine can't "swing", they are a metal tube attached to the ceiling. Not sure what is going on with yours.

Ours came locked down. I am guessing the wing nut provides for minor adjustments. I would not want them swinging and hit the slide while traveling.

^^^^Same here. They've been locked down since day one with no issues and I have the same lights.

Mine was delivered with them snugged down. Of course last year I discovered one broken at the "thumbscrew" and had it replaced. I recently discovered the other one has a buggered up bulb socket. Left on the recent trip with one of the two working deciding to address them when we got home. Well, on the trip I found the other one hanging by one screw. Put it back up and ordered 2 more from Camping World. These new ones don't have the thumbscrews so maybe they will be a bit lighter. They are just screwed into the wallpaper and luan ceiling. When I install the replacements I will use drywall anchors or wing nuts.

I've often thought it would be fun to put a camera in my 5th for while I'm traveling. I'd probably see things I wouldn't want to. Ironically, similar to placing a camera in my house with my kids while my 5th wheel is rolling.... I probably don't want to see either

Ours are like yours and have been around the country and back... approximately 60,000 miles and they still look like the day we purchased it new. The "thumbscrew" has come loose once and I just gave it a snug-up! Looking to "knock on wood!"
