Leaking connection under the sink?

My 2014 238ML has developed a slow leak where the cold water hose connects to the sink fixture in the bathroom. I released pressure on the system, drained the cold water line, removed the connection reseated the gasket and reconnected the line. As soon as there was pressure in the system again it started to leak again. Any ideas on how to stop the leak? Is there a particular way the gasket is supposed to be installed? Thanks in advance for the help.

Probably need a new gasket or if the fitting has been overtightened a new fitting.

The gasket/seal is shaped like a cone, and if it has any deformations or nicks, its toast. They are super cheap to replace, and once we take a line off, we replace them.

Where do you purchase the replacements?

Any hardware store should have them. We order from NTP, and if you need it, I can get the P/N this morning when I go to work.

That would be great as I looked at HD, Lowes and True Value with no luck so far. I did not ask anyone so maybe I missed them.

NTP P/N is 10-7150. You might be able to use or cross reference at trek wood.

What do you use to replace the clamp if you have to change a fitting? Thanks

We cut the pex line and install a flare or swivel.

Trekwood:

http://www.trekwood.com/products/282...-CST-X-1-2-NPS

http://www.trekwood.com/products/282...-2-FPT-Adapter

I prefer the flare... more positive seal IMO.

bath sink leak

same here, already replaced washer, elbow and faucet. still leaks, looks like it comes from space between hose and fitting. may have to go to flex hose ? any other recommendations? thanks in advance.

I use a pair of side cutters on the bump out section of the clamp to weeken it then I use a flat blade to gently pry open the clamp.

I then use a small butane torch to lightly warm the pex pipe just warm it so that you can pull the pipe off the fitting without harming the fixture.
