I have a 2011 Avalanche that I need to remove the electric fireplace. Do you have to remove the wood frame first, and how is the best way to remove the frame without damaging it?

There should be four screws holding the fireplace into the cabinet. These are photos of where the screws are holding ours. The first photo is where the upper screws are located and the second where they are at the bottom. Yours may be slightly different, but it may take a flashlight and a close inspection to find them. Once the screws are out, the unit should just slide out.
