6 point level system and winter storage.
Quick question, when I store my unit for the winter all covered up, do I set it up with the 6 point system or just park it leveled with the front landing gear? My parking space is gravel and level. Thanks.

I personally think having it sit perfectly level for a few months is better than not so I think I would put it down. My first time too so I will be paying attention to the responses here as well

I have a 2014 Alpine.. I always park it with all 6 pads down and auto level.. I don't cover in wintertime.. Once a month during wintertime I go out and open it up in a sunny day in the afternoon and get some fresh air inside.. I also wipe down the exposed hydraulic Pistons with a rag and a little bit of motorcycle fork oil

Not sure if anyone else is in the snow belt but I prefer to keep the front end raised 2 degrees above level just so the melted snow and water will run off the back. As stated.....Make sure you spray the exposed cylinders with rust preventive or WD-40 type spray or oil.

+ 1 for Way Of Life,
I park "Nose High", so melting snow runs off, and spray my landing gear with WD40.

+1 on nose high!
WD-40 dries out and builds up after repeated applications. I spray on penetrating oil and then wipe off the excess.
I have MaxxAir covers on all my roof vents so I leave the vents wide open. Even with a foot or more of snow on the roof, there's never any penetration into the trailer.

I agree with nose up if it's outside. Mine is under cover that's why I say level it

Lippert recommends a silicon spray on them, even if I set it nose high, do I use all 6 jacks? or just raise it manual nose high after it is leveled?

I leave the mid-ship and rear gear up. That way the cylinders are not exposed to the elements.
p.s I stand corrected, Silicon not WD40 is the correct spray.

Dry Storage
Guess I'm a little extreme. Ours is parked inside our RV garage, insulated, slides out, powered, and dry. Away from snow and sun. When we decide to go camping, just walk through house, load up, open door, close slides, disconnect, hookup and go.

When Lippert put on their presentation at the 2014 National Montana rally in Goshen, they said they modified their recommendation for the lube for the hydraulic rams, and the change was from silicone spray to CRC Power Lube Industrial High Performance Lubricant with PTFE. I had a tough time finding it, but finally was able to get it from Fastenal. I just spray it on and let it dry, and have no problems with corrosion or buildup on the rams. I'm not sure if they have made the change in their literature, or if they will. They even had a case of the product which they handed out to some at the meeting.
