New 303TG Owner

Picked up our brand new 303tg last Saturday. Unfortunately today I'm watching snow accumulate on it. Can't wait for spring/summer camping weather.

Will only be pulling the trailer short distances less than 300 miles. Truck is rated for 8,800 lbs. Curious if there are any other 1/2 ton users out there and what your experience has been.

Trailer: Laredo 303TG
Puller: 2003 Chevy Silverado 1500 4x4

Welcome

I used to pull ours with a 1500 Suburban6.0 with 4.10's. You shouldn't have any problem. You will know it's there for sure

Welcome to the forum Ericc57. The question you raised regarding pulling an RV with a 1/2T has been discussed at length on the forum and asked by numerous RVers who are debating whether or not to get something bigger such as a 3/4T.
If you browse through the posts in the "Towing and Tow Vehicles" section, you should find a fair number of posts dealing with this topic.

As you already probably realize, there are so many factors to consider and without knowing specific details about your vehicle and RV, it is difficult to answer your question without all of that information.

I hope you will get some feedback from browsing the Towing and Tow Vehicle section.

Welcome to the forum Ericc57. I too just picked up our 303TG and am also watching snow fall (was in the 50's the weekend I brought it home, then 3 inches of snow on Monday... ugh).

Anyways I tow mine with an '08 Tundra 5.7L V8 - tow capacity is 10,300. It pulled just fine. As I've only been towing since last July I don't feel qualified enough to let you know yay or nay. Just providing my TV info per your question.
