Outside kitchen drain ???

So the outside kitchen on my 2015 Mountaineer does not drain into the rear gray tank??? It's a direct run from sink to cap. In the past I've never hooked up the rear sewer until leaving, now I guess I will. I bought a tee and more hose to fix the problem. What were they thinking when they designed this drain??

I have seen that a few times, and not just Keystone. Can't offer a reason why.

Is your kitchen on a slide out? If so, I think it may have something to do with that and the low level the sink drainpipe needs to be.
I saw this on a friends Mountaineer a few weeks ago and looking at the drain set up that is what I figured.
