That is problem for some faucets. They are very "inexpensive" (as in the cheapest available) and in a few, there is a squeak. At least they aren't leaking, so they are functional, just not quiet.
Lubricating the O-rings won't help, especially on the hot water side as the hot water will remove the silicone/petroleum jelly in a very short time.
You may consider buying a better quality faucet at Lowe's or HD. They are, for the most part, interchangeable and certainly much better quality. If you're still in warranty, possibly your dealer would order a replacement for you or schedule an appointment to replace the "noisy faucet", but it may not be any better than what you have.
