Installing a Fireplace
I have a 2010 Loredo 266RL and want to install an electric fireplace in the corner entertainment cabinet. I've seen it in several RV's like mine. Has anyone installed one in this particular RV? If so, where did you get it and what size is it?
Thank you!

The Cougar 326SRX has one. Give Keystone a call and ask them. I'm told it works great and saves the propane. Glad to have it.

You can order it from your Dealer. Look on your fuse panel and see if there is a 20 amp CB on the panel if so there should be a 20 amp outlet in the cabinet to plug it into. My Cougar came that way and I have seen other Rv's pre wired also.

Thanks for the info. I'll give Keysone a call. I called a few local dealers and they are priced ridiculously high. I've found several on the web for $200-$500 that are just as nice. Several of them also only take a 120v outlet. Wasn't familiar with the 20amp so I'll take a look. Thanks for mentioning. I'm still pretty new to this RV stuff!

Most of the RV sized fireplaces are 6 to 6.5" deep. Some of the models at HD and Lowe's are 8 or 9" deep, so measure the cabinet you plan to install it and be sure it is deep enough to accommodate the one you order.
Good Luck and as you progress, PICTURES !!!!!

There were a couple of members who bought from EBay (those vendors change postings frequently) and one reported buying from Lowe's (I think) on a "summer clearance" when the new models came out. You might do a forum search for "fireplace" and look at the postings from about Sep/Oct of 2013... If I run across the links, I'll post them here.

Here's what I did.
Before
After
This fireplace was a perfect fit. Purchased on Amazon for $170 (at that time) with free shipping. Here's the link plus specs.
http://www.amazon.com/Classic-Flame-...acklit+display
Removing the shelf and stile/rail was easy. Two screws on the back of stile/rail at each end. I cut mine in about three inches just to make it easier to access the screws. I drilled some holes in the rear and top of the opening for air movement and the cord. It's 110V and plugged into the hidden outlet used for the pop up TV.
I installed a a small piece of strapping on the top front to help with the tile. Not shown are two, four inch pieces halfway down on each side. These gave me something to put a screw in to hold the unit in place.
I glued the tile on with construction adhesive and the insert slides right in with the trim overlapping the tile just a touch.
We have used it both as a heater and just flame only mode for the look. It works great, has a remote and timer, and gives off good heat at 1350W.

Thanks for the pics
I bought this same unit on Amazon last week on sale. Running it in the house just to make sure there are no issues before install. The vent gets pretty hot. Did you leave some clearance at the top?

There is about 2" clearance at the top plus I drilled a series of 1-1/2 holes in the panels above and behind it.

Your parts...
Here is the fireplace for all Keystones.
http://www.trekwood.com/products/277...ace-26-Plug-In
Use the main page of this site to locate the mantle and the 20amp breaker if you need them as well. (also a great site for almost every single part on your Keystone)

Trekwood is a good resourse for Keystone specific products. For non specific Keystone parts and accessories you can surf other sites and find more competive prices. That fireplace can be purchased elsewhere for a few hundred dollars less. Not knocking them - as everyone knows, it pays to shop around. As a postscript, with that heater/fireplace you're drawing 12 amps at 120v - 13.2 if your voltage drops to 110. A 15amp breaker is all you probably need.
