More details would be nice. What year/type of RV do you have? Does it have an extended pin box? I'm assuming 6' box, but what is your TV? When is it too close, hook-up or just turning? What hitch do you have?

Based on the issue you are having, I'd assume an older (not old) RV with standard pin box. If that is the case, is an extended pin box an option for you? If it is only a problem when trying to maneuver for backing, maybe you are one of the few that can REALLY benefit from a slider hitch. Also check your hitch setup, is it centered properly over the axle? On most/some hitches the head attachment assembly can be rotated to move the head forward or back a couple inches. Is yours set in the forward position? Is so, maybe you can gain a few inches by rotating it (if that will keep you centered over the axle)

5th pin

We have a 2015 raptor 375ts we are pulling it with a 2011 f350 crew cab short box I have a slider hitch and we have towed a 5th wheel before but the pin on the raptor is way to close to the front of the trailer even if you slid the hitch it dosent give a whole bunch more room so I was thing of a reese sidewinder ?

Thanks Chris

I have a 36.5" Carbon Toy hauler and tow it with a short-box 3500 Dodge (Megacab). What's your overhang forward of the pin? How much extension does sliding the manual slider gve you?

I have a pullright auto-slider hitch. It works find for the short bed megacab, but my rig is probably a little shorter than yours.

As you've mentioned the 3 options are:
1) Manual slider
2) Auto slider
3) Sidewinder

If you look at the manual on my slider, it has you calculate distances to see if it can provide adequate clearance for your rig.

I just purchased a Cougar 29 RLI 5ver, with it I got a pullrite superglide hitch. I have only pulled it a couple of times, but it is amazing. It allows me to jack the trailer to 90 degrees (although I don't want to go this far) and it is still about 6" away from the cab (F250, SC, 6'9" BOX)

B&W slider has 3 height adjustments and 2 adjustments front and back, might be enough to give you clearance.
