Wiring diagram for Cougar 322QBS

Battery ran out in middle of the night and the fridge is flashing so I got up half asleep to hookup aux battery. Managed to hook it up the wrong way round and fried my sound system and I think the voltage converter since shore power is no longer charging the battery. When I look on the wall of the front compartment there is a very complicated circuit board that I have no clue what any of it does. Also not sure where the voltage converter lives. I am fairly happy (when awake) with electrical wiring and would like to be able to fix and troubleshoot myself. Any ideas on where I can get more info on the electrical system in my rig??

If you are looking for wiring schematics, save yourself some time and effort and stop searching. Any type of schematics - plumbing, electrical, etc., - for Keystone and many other manufacturer' products is not available from Keystone. Quite a number of members have asked this same question and are still looking as far as I know.

If anyone has found the Mother Lode, then they are not sharing with the rest of us. I think the best way to "get more info" is to become familiar with your own system in any way you can. You can find diagrams of basic RV circuits and plumbing systems in a variety of RV reference books, do a Google search, or by trying to trace as much of it out as you can by poking around and finding your converter, etc.

Before you start "poking around", it might be a good idea to unplug your power cord to be on the safe side!

Good luck with this.

arturob,

Unfortunately, wiring (and/or plumbing) diagrams aren't available to the public.
Here's a previous thread & more detailed explanation:

Edit: Oooops, sorry! Festus & I were typing at the same time.

If your coach has a remote control, then that circuit board thing is the controller. hooking the battery up backwards will generally pop the fuses on the back of the converter. I would almost bet your stereo has an in-line fuse too. Hope you get it fixed.

arturob, I think we all have made mistakes trying to fix something while still half asleep. There should be two fuses in your main panel to protect from reverse polarity. There also may be another on the converter itself. Just something to look for before going crazy ripping things apart. JM2¢, Hank

Yeah, I keep forgetting about those.
