312 RE Tire Chock's

Our new 2014 312 RE seams to have different tire spacing than our 300 KBS our old Camco tire stabilizers will not fit. I see they make a smaller version now but I want to go with "X-Chocks" will they fit the narrower tire spacing?

Thanks

I'm pretty sure the X chocks will work for you. They can close up pretty tightly for narrow spacing. We use them on our 26SAB.

I am pretty sure they go down to 1 1/2" but I would not bet on it. Their add on CW should tell you. I just bought Ultra-Tow Tandem Wheel Chock/Lock — Pair for $30 from Northern Tool and they go down to 1 1/2" also. I will try them tomorrow. They look pretty good.

Big Bear .....

This is your answer. I have a 2014 Laredo and the tires are very close together.
Guess what they fit ... You have to make sure they are compressed all the way in. But they do fit. See picture. Ruler included to show you the actual size.

Cheers Bill

312 RE Tire Chock's

That's pretty tight. And of course it made me go look at our 312RE. Yup. Axles are really close together. Interesting.

Between my parents and I we have owned several different campers, different models, brands, etc.. The only problem I ever had is when I went from one with 15" wheels to the ones with 16". I had to replace the chalks at that time. Other than that have used the same ones on every RV I've owned with various wheel spacing.

Another item noted today on the 312RE. On the curb side, between the tires at the top is a bolt that's part of the slide adjustments, hanging down between the tires. By the looks of it, they could have used about a 2" bolt, and chose to use a 5" bolt instead, so it hangs down there between the tires. Quite odd.
