Black tank flush on 2019 Cougar 30RLS

Hello, I am not sure that I have an issue my black tank flush or maybe I am doing something incorrectly when I am attempting to flush my black tank using the connection in the basement.

I connect my hose directly to the black tank flush connection, open the black tank valve, and I am getting a slow flow of water not much at all, but it does flow..

My question is, has anyone had a similar issue? When you hook up the water do you get a large amount of water coming out of the drain? I would love any suggestions on how to clean the black tank effectively..

Thank you

Gary

You won't see much more than about a gallon or maybe 1.5 gallons per minute coming out of the black tank valve. You can go to this utube video and see a comparison of the different types of "in tank nozzles" and observe the water flow through each.

I drain the black tank while running the flush connection into it (BTW ALWAYS use a dedicated hose, not your drinking hose) then once mostly drained I'll close the black valve for a few minutes with water still running into it, NEVER leave unattended, then open & you'll get the rush your looking for. I'll do this a few times, add a squirt of dish/laundry soap, fill/drain a couple more times til no suds, done.
