Raptor rear patio awning question

Just brought home a new 2017 Raptor. The rear awing over the patio only extends 19 1/2” from the wall. Adjusting limit switches does nothing.
Is 19 1/2” the way they are, or do I have a problem?

Probably you mean brand of awning. It is a carefree with no side arms, only has aluminum braces that start out v shaped and extend with the fabric. Looks like apex series but not sure. I just dont think a 19 1/2” extension is correct.

If it has arms that fold out then the arms will be just less than straight out when fully extended. If they aren’t then I would start looking at the fabric being the issue.

Thanks for reply Chuckster. The arms are almost in full v not staight at all. Plenty of fabric on roll still. Motor extends for a few seconds and stops like hitting limit switch. Turned out limit switch. Does not affect the distance of travel at all. Brand new rv so I guess I will let carefree warranty person look at it.

That one like our 2016 Fuzion, should extend farther. Ours the side arms extend to almost straight....but they won't go completely straight.
There are also hidden bars inside the end tube of the awning. They slide out the side and pivot down. On the left and right side of the garage door opening, there's some attachment tabs for them to support the awning.
Wish I had a pic.

But I know the awning does not go full length of the patio, but about 3/4

Wink Our setup. . .

What he said. Here is a pic of our 420 rear patio with awning out full. I didn’t extend the support arms. I’m told by Keystone CS techs the arms are only really needed if high winds or pouring rain giving added weight or stress to thr arms that extended it and retract it. Clearly out more than your 19”+.

There u go. I had a pic but couldn't find it.

I also wondered why those tabs were on the sides of the door opening. Took me months to find out the hidden support rods in the end tube. Lol @ myself!

So my awning the limit switches dont stop the awning from extending or stopping when retracted. I tried adjusting the limit switches and thought I had it right then it would stop half way in or half way out so I would adjust it again get it right, then same thing again. I figured out the plastic piece that holds the set screws was broke. I backed the limit screws out and took to dealer under warranty, No problem found. They said you just have to stop with button there is no limit switches. I tried to point out they were there but it was a losing battle so I just gave up. Never did get it fixed.

Hello. I have a ‘17 417 and I am trying to figure out where the support arms attach to the trailer. This is the most frustrating thing with this trailer as of yet..

If you have arms that slide out of the corners of the awning, they should lock under a bracket on the trailer located on the uprights on each side of the door frame.

The support arms have a aluminum bracket with 2 holes. There are two black brackets about halfway up and they have square opening. If they somehow go into those 2 i assume you cannot have the awning extended out all the way. The funny part is I have never had a problem finding a picture on the internet of something I was working on. I have tried this about 10 different times and have never found a picture of the rear awning deployed. Hahaha

There is probably a bar in the bracket that moves up/down in the slots of the bracket. Lift the bar up, put the arm in and lower the bar to lock it in place.

I think the support arms extend.
I know when mine is all the way out, the arms locked to the mounts, the awning pulls down a little.

Google Fuzion rear awning. Image search.
Here's one link I found that people posted pics for reference.
