315 Cougar awning

My awning on my 315 Cougar front awning has the ends of the cord coming out of the track. any ideas to repair.?

If your talking about the "gimp", You may get lucky trying to push it back in. If not then just cut it off and thread the extra in the other end.

Have you gotten up there to look at it closely? The awning on my current trailer did that and when I got up there to look the slot had been widened on the end by ??? I put the gimp cord back in and squished the channel back together so the slot was uniform and it couldn't come back out.

Very common practice to spread the end, makes it easier to install the awning. Most don’t bother to squeeze it back together.
