Awning separating …

In a little bit of a pickle here. My dealer is in between owners right now and I have a trip coming up in a week and a half.

Extended my awning, and the front side is separating away. There’s a screw there but don’t believe it holds anything useful. So I’m guessing the entire awning is glued to the piece that houses the led light strip?

Any input on a quick temp fix would be great cause I can’t get this looked at till at least September they say ….

Is the “gimp” round cord hanging out of the other end? If so you can simply cut it and insert it. If not then you might be able to find a stiff cord to thread in.

There’s no hole in the fabric for the rod to go into. It seems to be glued to a piece of rubber that’s secured into the track.

I’m in my phone so it was hard to see. I would clean both surfaces real good with alcohol and then use a vinyl adhesive to glue it back in place. You’ll want to relieve the tension by pushing that arm in a little and hold it with a ladder.

Thanks for replying. I’ll get some adhesive and try that. Hopefully it holds long enough for this trip. My main concern is it catching wind as I go down the road
