I have a 2016 416 and last year in TX I couldn't get the temp below 90. I didn't k ow about this forum and just googled stuff. The first thing I came across was solar screen and some suction cups designed for attaching screen. I had tried the reflextix but felt like I was living in a baked potato.
I went to Home Depot and bought some screen that blocks 90%uv cut 4ftx4ft sections and covered every window I had. My temp dropped about 8degrees.
So I got that all cleaned up and pulled off all the vents. The tape was sticking up on almost every vent ...cleaned that up. By this time I'm holdin 79deg. The back a/c unit in the garage had the gray vent fabric folded up like an envelope and stapled which would drag against the cold air coming down. Got that cleaned up.
I have 4 beds on hydraulics in the back that blocks 2 vents so tonight I did a little mod. One vent is about 18in from the edge so I took vent material taped it to a vent and made it long enough to hang over the edge. I made it extra long to play around with moving to different edges. I'm interested to see if it helps.
I'd laugh but I know you're serious. Look what I found to the right of the black rod when I pulled away the tape...about a 4"x5" gap. I bought some foam backend duct insulation to seal it.
Also, when I checked the rear a/c I discovered the heat strip was unplugged! I knew I was supposed to have one but never felt hot air and figured they forgot to install it.
The heat strip probably isn't plugged in on the assembly line to prevent a possible "overheating problem" if something is incorrectly wired or malfunctions. I'd suspect that OSHA has a rule against operating electrical heating elements inside an industrial building. Also, there are "flammable fumes" in the air from some of the industrial adhesives, foam and paint finishes that are sprayed during assembly. Having an electrical heat source plugged in with that environment is probably frowned upon. Keystone (at least when I toured the plant) doesn't "function check" every trailer. They do some checks on every unit and do more thorough checks on "selected units". The "tour guide" told us that they expect the dealer to 'make ready" every trailer. So they may not even address the heat strip on trailers that aren't selected for that specific "QC check"....
If I had to guess, I'd suspect that Keystone leaves them all unplugged on the line and expects that the dealer will connect and function check them before delivery... Of course, we all know how the PDI goes with some dealers.....
My heat strip was not plugged in either after delivery ... neither was two of my stove burner lighters ... or my subwoofer .... etc. etc. etc.
I did get around to checking out my AC a bit and found the divider on the rear one was leaning over. Once fixing that seemed like much better cold flow. Also found a couple of the vent ducts were smashed down preventing good flow. Was able to stuff some tin foil in area out of flow path to hold the duct up and it probably tripled the flow out that roof vent. Will get to see if this helps much in a couple weeks as will be camping in the low 90's for high temp.
Also concluded on my Fuzion 420 both the garage and all living room/kitchen ducts are fed off the rear AC. The one vent in the master bath and one right next to bedroom AC are fed off the bedroom unit. So much for balancing out the workload ... the rear covers probably 5x the volume that the bedroom unit has too.
I have2 a/c units 1 in bedroom & q in garage. There is 1 vent in bedroom, 1 in bathroom, 4 in kitchen/living and 2 in garage. Both units feed all of the vents.
Can you explain what type of netting you mean over your slides?

Yup! I bought some "Coolaroo ready-to-hang shade sail 13' x 7"' from Costco and simply draped them over my slides. It's slightly Sanford and Son looking, but it made a big difference inside! Hopefully, you can see the attachments. I only got one far away pic of the RV on the side with the net.

I took all the vents and inside AC covers off last night. The boss must have been watching the day they did mine. no holes, gaps or anything. all taped up and flowing like they should. My garage unit is not tied into the ductwork the other 2 are.
