Last year we have one member who took his Dometic toilet apart to repair it. He resealed the two parts (where your toilet is leaking) with silicone when he reassembled it. He was concerned that it may not be as durable as when assembled at the factory, but so far, he has not reported any failure of the silicone. He also hasn't reported that it still is functional, so "no news is good news??????"
Occasionally there is a failure of anything that is assembled. That's why there's a warranty and that's why dealers have service departments, to deal with the occasional parts failure. As you indicated, the toilet is not intended to be separated at that joint. If your toilet is still within the warranty, I'd contact the dealer or Dometic and get a replacement, but if you're out of warranty and it's leaking, then you really don't have much to lose by taking it apart to attempt repairs. If successful, you've saved some money, if not, then you'd have been buying a new toilet anyway, so nothing is really lost.
