Thin wall anchors

We want to hang a piece of art in the rig and it’s really heavyish.
I haven’t weighed it but it has to be 8-10 lbs or so. It’s delicate or would be if it fell.
To heavy for Velcro, and don’t trust command strips.

Location is the inside of the exterior wall in the big slide between the windows.

Plastic Drywall anchors don’t work well in drywall without a monster hole.

Wondering what y’all do?

Thanks.

I've used these to hang towel racks in the bathroom.

3 years and still holding tight. Almost everything else is secured to walls with heavy duty command strips. No problem with those either.

I've used these as well in all of my campers over the years, and never had a problem.

Bear in mind that when hanging anything on an outside wall, it may not be as thick as you think. "Measure twice", as they say!

On one of my previous Toy boxes I had a heavy 3D mural that I wanted to hang. My solution was to drill thru the wall from the outside. I then used a carriage bolt painted white to go from the outside thru the wall. An O ring or silicone sealant workes fine for weatherproofing. The bolt head is barely noticeable, and by using this method, I spread the point of contact over a larger surface area. I towed for several years, over some pretty cra**y roads with no problem.

Another alternative would be to take down the piece while towing.

Good Luck,

I use #6-32 rubber well nuts with very good success on thin paneling: https://www.ebay.com/i/331971069833?chn=ps
