Where do you plan to visit? Perhaps you've already been We just returned from a couple of two day stays, one at Loon Lake Campground (BLM). It's pretty much booked on weekends, during the summer, and closes the end of September, but some sites are available in Summer, mid-week. Lovely place - very clean, a small lake, swimming beach, fishing dock/boat ramp, very clean, heated bathroom/shower facilities (lots of them), trees, quiet after-hours. However, no hook-ups or dump facility , but still worth the stay.

Our other trip was just west of where we live - Powers Park (Coos County). Nice setting with paved sites, although a bit crowded. Water and electric and a nice dump station. There is a small pond for fishing and non-powered boats. Also tennis courts, playground and basketball (not great, but ok). It as a bit windy when we were there in mid June (but there were no mosquitos). Sites are usually available, except on holidays, especially for the 4th of July when they have a fireworks show over the pond. We loved it for kayaking. Good fishing for kids, but not for swimming.

We are still exploring good places to stay in Oregon. Will post new discoveries as we find them.
