New in Tampa

I'm looking at a Laredo 303tg. Do you guys see a problem towing it with a 2008 2wd suburban with 3.73's.

Depends on the model of surburan, a 2500 has a tow capacity of 9600 lbs, the trailer has a gross weight of 9000 lbs so with a 3/4 ton 2500 it's doable, with a 1500 1/2 ton it's another matter.

I agree with Flyguy and would suggest - as you have already indicated - that you start looking for a 3/4 T truck. That Laredo is too much for your Suburban 1/2 ton.

I just brought home my 303TG yesterday. My 2500HD pulled it just fine with only weight dist bars and no sway control. I held @ 60 going up a few hills, and couldn't tell it was pushing too much on the way down. I could tell the camper was back there, but no problems.

I pulled a 26ft Jayco Eagle with a chevy 1500 and with a Tahoe with no major problems, but I don't think they would have pulled the 303TG as easy. I think the Tahoe actually pulled the Jayco better than the chevy 1500 did. Not sure if the weight was distributed better or what, but I believe the 303 would be much too heavy for it. I'd opt for a bigger truck than a smaller camper, because that 303 is super sweet!

Diesel

Same thing happened to me TampaCamper. I was in the Passport 28BHS and pulled with a 2008 F150 4x4. Then moved into the 2010 Laredo 303TG and had to get a F250 Diesel. Just needs more getty up for all that weight. I am in Tampa also, if you see me campin, drop by and say hello.

Clermont Camping?

Where do you camp in Clermont? We live in Land O Lakes, FL and are always looking for nearby places to camp. We have a Cougar 5th wheel. We love shade and larger sites when possible. Enjoy your camper
