Talking New from Ohio!

Hi Everyone!

My wife and I just put our deposit down on a 2012 Cougar 31sqb. We are waiting for the dealer to find the interior color we want.....and some warmer weather! Our last camper was a Jayco Kiwi hybrid so we are definitely looking forward to the Cougar. Our tow vehicle is a 2004 Suburban 2500 8.1l with 4.10 rear end. We are looking forward to many years of fun and learning about Keystone!

look at this way about 4 or 5 weeks and our fav. campground starts taking reservations. Weeks sounds better than months

Yep, it’s winter here, too. It’s dipping into the low 60s. And my trailer is in the shop for another week or so. Even my wife is hinting that she wants a weekend getaway.

14 inches on the ground now, 6-10 inches more by tomorrow night, snow predicted every day this week, Saturday "MAY" be partly cloudy, then snow again 5 of 7 days next week... ME THINKS winter is here

Snowmobiles are in the back yard, wonderful ride today, and after plowing the drive tomorrow, we're going to Mackinaw City on snowmobiles for supper, then maybe stay overnight in Cheboygan and take the long way home by going to Alpena and then back west along 32.... So, with this kind of "new playtime" who has time to think about camping???? That comes in April/May when we start trying to clear a patch of ice and snow to park the trailer once we get it out of storage.... <wink>

Who said Florida was a "winter haven" ??? Just gotta find things to do when it's cold..... Hmmmmm... a bottle of warm brandy and snuggle in front of the fireplac ???? <G>

"........ a bottle of warm brandy and snuggle in front of the fireplace" is the only part of your post that makes any sense whatsoever!

Festus2 ... Gotcha beat. 44.5 cm (18 inches) of snow, -12C, (windchill -22C). ME THINKS WINTER IS HERE TOO! Am I having fun yet? NOT!!!

Shhhhhhh! Nothing here yet, either. But I think it would be wise if I picked up some gas for the snow-blower and genny today. Don't need snow for the brandy & fireplace.

You guys are making me feel a little better. I think we have only had maybe four inches of snow so far this year. Thanks for cheering me up!

ROFLMAO !!!

We're in Mackinaw City, just got here about 45 minutes ago, the snowmobile ride from home was GREAT !!! Some of the most beautiful scenery in Michigan is along Interstate 75, from about Indian River to Mackinaw City. We encountered numerous deer, and 3 herds of elk along the trail. Virutally no traffic (during the week) and fresh groomed trails to ride. Going out tonight for a nice supper, then a good night's sleep and head along the shores of Lake Huron down to Rogers City for lunch with relatives, then on to Alpena. Who knows, may stay there tomorrow night, or if the riding is good, may just head on home along 32.

Snow may not be "all that WUNNERFUL" but if you gotta have it, might as well enjoy it. <G>
