I cannot start new post

sorry to hi-jack but mods, I cannot start a new thread. Only "quick reply" allows me to post anything. If i try to start a new thread or even reply i get-

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage
What you can try:
Diagnose Connection Problems

Only quick reply works. Any ideas?? I tried messaging the admin of this board a week or two ago with no response. Thanks for the help

BeaverRZR , I do not have an answer for you now but I will look into it and get back. Maybe someone who uses IE can help, Hank

Have to ask the obvious........Have you tried clicking on the "Post Reply" tab found on the bottom left-hand corner of the last post in a thread? What happens when you click on the "New Thread" tab found at the top left-corner of each forum category? Do you get this same message?

I have tried both of those. I get the screen with the box to post, all the emoticons, misc options, etc. I do my posting and hit submit and that is when the internet error pops up. In fact, i just tried to quote your post in this reply and got the same error. Only quick reply works

I would show you a screen shot of the error page and add on run error, but quick reply doesnt allow attatchments

Prior to today, you have successfully submitted about 30 posts. Were all of these submitted using the Quick Reply or have you used any other method that you can recall?

In checking into your profile, I notice that you have created 4 threads since joining so it would appear that you were able to create new threads previously. You also created this new thread about the problem you are having so it would appear that you are able to start a new thread ?????

Have you changed any settings - either intentionally or inadvertently - here on the forum or your Internet Explorer?

If you did not try contacting our forum Administrator by email, try these two addresses and outline your problem to him. You might also mention that you tried sending him a Private Message if that is how you tried to contact him. Perhaps he can shed some light on what is happening. In the meantime, we will continue to try to come up with something.

EDIT: Removed my emails addresses. PM Me if you need help.

Just a thought, but go to the USER CP in the blue bar at the top of every forum webpage, click on USER CP, then on the left side, go toward the middle of the page and click on SETTINGS AND OPTIONS, then at the very bottom of the page under MISCELLANEOUS OPTIONS, make sure that you select STANDARD EDITOR-extra formatting controls.

Then click SAVE and see if it helps. Otherwise, you may need to delete your IE history, cookies and doublecheck your security settings in IE tools. If it's only your one PC, try logging in on another PC and see if you can start a new thread. My guess is that either your forum opttins are set incorrectly or it's in your PC, not in the forum software.

Hope this helps,
