Luck was on our side!

Straight line winds came through yesterday and flattened two large trees just feet from our new TT! We are just about to begin a storage building in that spot where the trees are down for the camper and the boat. Luckily, it was a miss this time - although narrow!! Can't imagine how disheartening it would have been to have had one of those trees damage our new unit.

Of course, our teenage sons are more relieved the basketball goal wasn't damaged! Ha

Yes, you WERE lucky!

A storage building to store the RV or ? If it's for the RV looks like you want to make sure you build it with heavier components in case you have heavy winds like that again.....or a tree falls on the building

Go get a lottery ticket, your one lucky person.

The one thing I hope for is that if anything ever happens to mine, is that its bad enough to total it, dont want a repaired camper, they are never the same once they get damaged.

Yes, a pole barn technically so we've now begun conversations about measures to make sure it's sturdy enough. We built on this property 13 years ago and this is a first for that type of wind damage, but I don't want to take chances regardless.
