TV Interference While Furnace Blower Is On

Noticed that when the furnace blower comes on, the Furrion TV cable reception degrades somewhat. At first, I tried to tighten the cable connections from the source (Park cable outlet) at each junction to the TV. Didn't really get more than a half turn on any of the interior connections.

Later in our stay I noticed when the furnace blower started, the cable reception wasn't as good. When the blower stops, it gets better.

Anyone had this occur? Fixes or suggestions?

That is odd for sure. Check your battery voltage. Use a VOM meter at the hattery(s), should be 13VDC or more. If not then it’s possible the furnace is drawing too many amps from the converter.

I have no idea really, but in these kind of cases you need to rule stuff out.

I had this happen on a Holiday Rambler class A I owned. We had replaced the converter and they put a lower quality one in vs. the original and I got the same interference when it would kick in. They replaced with the original brand and it fixed the problem. I would suspect that when the fan is pulling power the converter may be kicking in and causing the interference. Or could be just a crappy TV.

Ours will show a degraded picture if the bedroom light is on (main tv, not the bedroom tv)
I suspect a power wire in the wall is running too close to the cable and they used crappy RG6.

If you have LED lighting, it may be a bad amplifier/voltage regulator in the LED assembly. You might try changing the LED "bulb" if it's replaceable or switching the fixture to a different location if it's a "non-replaceable LED".

Let us know the results if you decide to give it a try.

This summer we were camping in a cg that did not have cable (roughing it according to DW). When I turned on the light fixture above booth the tv would loose signal. That's the only fixture that has incandescent bulbs. No other light had the effect on the tv. Went outside and the sulfur smell was overwhelming. Removed the battery which had boiled out and replaced it. No more issues. I'd suggest starting with checking battery voltage with the wires removed from the battery(s).

“Crappy RG6”? I think RG6 is better that the standard RG59 I see all the time.

...ok. That was my point actually. Not sure what they used in mine but I am am sure it's the cheapest they could get away with.
