Re: 07/08 Cougar 281BHS Question

Hi, interested in a 07/08 Cougar 281BHS. Wondering if the bunk room would be accessible with the slide-out in if the door was removed? A picture from the entertainment center back with the slide in would be great. I Googled but can't find any pix with the slide in and I don't think the floor plan pix are accurate enough. Thank you in advance for any info you can share. RB

Re: 07/08 Cougar 281BHS Question

RamOutback, Howdy;

I think I checked one of those out before I purchased the one that I now
live in (see signature). I'm thinkin' that I didn't care for it was due to the
aspect that were I to stop while on the road (rest area etc.), I couldn't get
into the bunkroom due to the slide being in the way. That was 5.5 years
ago ... so, memory may or may not be accurate. Being able to utilize all
things ('fridge, sink etc.), while at a rest area or a parking lot is essential
for me.

Re: 07/08 Cougar 281BHS Question

Thank you Hank! Late last night I found a picture with the slide in on the Laredo equivalent to the 281BHS and the slide covers around 1/2 of the door. With the door opening out the bunk room isn't accessible but I think the plastic door trim and the door can all be reversed to open inward. From pictures it looks like that might be doable? If not I could remove the solid door and install a pleated fabric door. Thanks again, RB
