I have a F350 SRW 4X4 and 2018 Montana. My current tool box weatherguard model 127502 is too high and before I buy another I want to be certain of clearances.

I made this video showing our 2016 Montana pulling out of an rv Park. I let the GoPro run till we were on the main road.

Good luck, hope you don't need to turn while going up hill!

Google Truck Trunk and see what you get. I got a truck trunk some 7 years ago and it only sticks up an 1&3/4 inch above the bed rails. Mine is no longer in production. It's on it's second truck now. Been very happy with it, similar to the one here.

Good luck.

I adjusted my Pin Box/trailer height. I have plenty of space above tool box.

You'll find the low profile boxes at Lowe's, Home Depot, Tractor supply, most any farm & ranch store, they come in swallow models as well as fairly deep. I've had mine on 2 trucks with 3 different 5ers & have never came any where near hitting it in well over 100k towing in the last 10 years fulltiming. When I bought the current truck I had the truck bed sprayed with LineX & did the tool box also.

Clearance looks great and 5er level. How much clearance above side rails.

I would have to measure this next time i'm hooked up. With the tool box being 4.5" it looks to be at least 10" above the side rails.

Nope! That is what I thot too and now will cost me. I have a trifold cover on my truck that sticks up approx 2 1/2 inches and a Pullrite superglide. Backing up on blind side while turning I dropped the 5er wheels into app 6” ditch and crunch! I was just checking who can fix approx 4” oblong mash up this past week.
