NewAlpine 3401RS

Well we went to pick up our new Alpine 3401RS today. The dealer was supposed to install a Splendede washer and dryer. The washer did not arrive until late morning so we were given $20.00 for lunch and left for about two hours.
When we returned we sensed that there may be a problem but after another 30 minutes we were escorted back to do our walk through.
All was good until I went to the bedroom and discovered that the door to the W/D compartment was not installed and the dryer was hanging over the front of the washer about two inches. The compartment for W/D was not deep enough to install the dryer on top of the washer because of the slope of the wall in the back of the compartment. I cannot believe Alpine let this slip.
After getting my blood pressure somewhat under control I ask what the plan was. The dealer service manager called Alpine and their response was that they would over night the parts to bump out the compartment front which will allegedly allow enough room for the installation.
I have serious doubts as to the quality of the finished product and got assurances that if I am not satisfied I do not have to accept the deal.

Re: NewAlpine 3401RS (almost)

Be sure to document the dealer's, and Alpine's, commitments to you in writing. I don't know where you are in the purchasing phase but if you've already signed on the dotted line you could face problems if they either don't do what they say, or what they do doesn't work.

The GM has stopped funding pending my approval. I really hope we can work it out but if not it's on to plan B.

Re: NewAlpine 3401RS (almost)

I received a call from the dealer today. Alpine shipped some materials to them over night and the Alpine Rep looked at the w/d closet and confirmed the problem. The dealer is going to rebuild the compartment so that it is deeper. The Alpine Rep said that Alpine will be making a kit available to elevate this issue in the future.
I expect to pick the unit up on Friday I just hope they surprise me and do a good job.

We took delivery of our new 2017 Alpine 3401RS today. The dealer and Alpine did a fantastic job of rebuilding the W/D compartment.

What they ^^^^ said! And since we as members normally bash the bad guys in our RV experiences by "naming names" it also seems fair that you should "name names" when the experience is good. I see smiles all around so let's have it: Who are these people? And welcome to the forum also!
