Lug Nut Studs

Reading over the owners manual about torquing lug nuts and the manual gives two settings for different size studs, one being a 9/16" stud. How do I tell which size stud I have on a '17 Laredo 325RL? Thank you in advance.

Well you could get a micrometer and measure the diameter and a thread gauge to determine how many threads per inch. Or the easier way is take one of the nuts off and go to an auto parts store and let them see what size stud it fits.

My guess 1/2 - ours has the 1/2" lug nuts. Mine have 1/2-20 on the side of the lug nut. A 9/16 would probably have 9/16-18 on the side.

Take a look at this page for pictures of lug nuts.

The lug nuts do loosen a little on the first trip - 50 to 100 miles.

Same here, lug nuts are stamped with the size/thread pitch
