Fuzion 395

Picked up my 2014 Fuzion 395 Tuesday(17th) and took it directly to a certified scale. Thought I would share if anyone is considering a 395 the weights. 2012 Ford F350 DRW 4X4 weight 8700lbs, Fuzion 395 unloaded 15,040lbs, pin weight 3,720lbs. I am going to get a Triglide pin box, as I experienced a lot of chucking on some parts of I-26. Looking forward to first use soon.

Welcome to the forum. It should ride much better once you get some "stuff" in it. Travel safely, Hank

Thanks Hank, We are first time 5th wheelers and just learning. Will more weight really help or should I pursue getting a better pin box? It came with the standard Lipp 1116. Ken

Ken & Gayle,

The chucking could have been a direct result of the hwy (concrete?) & the empty 5th wheel. As Hank said, it should tow better/smoother once loaded.
If it were me, I'd take a few trips before investing in another pinbox... it's trial & error obviously, but you may find that you don't need it.

Terri, the Chevy co-pilot

Thanks Terri, We'll give it at least one trip and see how the chucking goes. As everyone knows our nations interstates are a disgrace. If anyone has any tips for first timers, we welcome them. Ken

Ken, that is a beast of a 5er! I was just looking at that floor plan along with a few others. I have the same truck as you, how does it handle this 5er? With that much pin-weight are you running air-bags? Love to hear any feedback about the truck or 395.

My Raptor is about the same. I pull with a Chevy 3500 diesel longbox dually. After the first year, I had to go with the triglide. I do travel light though, no toys. My weights are as follows:

Steer Axle 4,800 5,600 800 14%
Drive Axle 7,460 9,375 1,915 20%

Trailer Tongue 3,340 4,500 1,160 26%
Trailer Axle 12,980
Total Trailer 16,320 18,000 1,680 9%
Total Gross Wt. 25,240 29,200 3,960 14%
