I've actually seen a couple of these on the road and found out that one is from my home state, over on the other side.

All I'll say is that it is common knowledge here that MT license plates that start with "13-" (MT has county designations on basic plates. Hamilton is is Ravalli County and has "13-" plates) are the absolute *worst* drivers in the state and this coming from there doesn't surprise me in the least

The unit in the picture doesn't look like a safety Hitch, to Javi's point the one in the picture looks like it has a single point of attachment to the TV. The Safety Hitch attaches at two points and becomes an extension of the TV frame, the wheels on the unit swivel when turning.

If the one in the picture swivels at the attachment point it would be a bitch to back up. If it doesn't and only that single point of attachment I see a LOT of stress.

They are designed so one might tow a 43’ Raptor with an old S-10.
(I suppose I better include the disclaimer for newbies....the post was said in jest)

Question, Jim: If we install air bags on the trolley (and maybe the S-10), can that S-10 also tow a 53' "18 wheeler trailer" ?????

On an added note, my money says that Lynette can back this unit up if anybody can. Farm girls have an added advantage over city folk with things like old hay wagons and the like.

Backing up doubles is a pain in the A$$ Yes I have done it. No i don't like doing it, sometimes it just has to be done. We run what is called a B train up north since there are no weight restrictions per se. It is a Tanker with a triple axle and 5th wheel in back NO DOLLY. then another tandem axle tank trailer is hooked to it. I wish i had some pics handy but I don't My money is on Lynette too.

Sorry, guys. This farm girl does NOT back up hay racks or wiggle wagons anymore if I can help it. Never was a favorite of mine, and now I just make sure not to get myself into a spot where I have to, or at least not very far!

Mike, I also would love to see pictures if you have time to take one.

Cyberian - you haven’t seen anyone from 15-* (Lake county) driving have you? Or county 54-*.... To be fair, MN has a lot more than their fair share too, they just aren’t divided up by county numbers.

Ya'll want some real fun, try backing double peanut drying trailers... near 0 tongue weight and articulating front axle.

Those are really slick. They would be the perfect answer for someone with a 3/4 ton diesel thats payload challenged.
I saw one last summer going on the freeway that runs through my town.
The guy had a company utility truck and a 5th wheel. No way to tow a 5er with utility boxes. Guessing he was working out of town and stayed in the 5er vs hotels. Probably owned a truck for personal use.
Anyway he was booking right along at 65-70 like he owned the road.

I believe these all hook up with two points to the TV. I saw a Reese one 20 years or so ago. Guy had a F350 flatbed truck with two quads on the bed sidesaddle, the tow dolly and a large 5th wheel. Said he loved it. And rear of the truck had three receivers. The standard one and two outboard. Chris
