New Members - Murmaids

Hi! Ann and Mary here. We just purchased a Keystone, Cougars 36', 30RLI. We had a Rockwood, 34'Signature Series 8319SS, but got a crack in the floor and the entire floor needed to be replaced. Lucky the insurance company paid most of the trailer off and got a trade in for the Cougar.

We loved our Rockwood and haven't yet, living in Michigan, taken our Cougar out yet, for a shake down.

We are retired from the Federal Government, having worked for the Department of Defense, in Information Technology (IT) and NATO, for over 35 years.

Being retired we try to camp from mid-May to mid-October. Being women, we do love the look on some people's faces when one gets out to guide the other into the site. Then the other of us, being another woman, gets out for the final check.

Ladies, don't be afraid to haul your rig, you can do it.

We have a 2011, Chevy, Crew cab, with drop down steps, because when you're very short and fat, those rails the same height as your door, doesn't cut it.

We look forward to learning more about the Keystone line.

Welcome from the other side of Lake Michigan. I for one would not look twice to see a woman pulling a RV, but then I work for a trucking company that employs women drivers.

Ann and Mary, what ^^^^^they said! In our park in Florida nobody thinks much about women towing into the park and backing in or pulling through. Thank goodness it is becoming more commonplace in this world. Women certainly should be qualified to make all the dumb mistakes I've been making for years....

Welcome to the forum from Radium Hot Springs BC.
Not surprised to see ladies towing a big RV. Around here I've seen a lady driving a logging truck. We live right in the heart of the Rockies. Good luck on your adventure.

Welcome to the forum and we admire your courage to break the mold - love to see single women or women partners out RVing - you go ladies.

We have had our 30RLI for 2 years and 8,416 miles now We really enjoy the floorplan especially the opposing slide outs, the fireplace plus the wife likes the bedroom dresser and side to side wardrobe closet.

We have done several modifications to suit our style, most notable is the addition of 3 slide out drawers - makes it easier reaching the stuff in back.

Enjoy you Cougar and life ..... Don

PS: PM me if you have any questions.

Do you have pictures of your 3 slide out drawers? Love to see what you did. Our Rockwood, we joked was a girl trailer. Ask your wife to imagine a walk in closet with shelves on both ends. The dressed was double with 6 drawers. Bathroom, two sinks, two medicine cabinets. His and her's or as my sister in law said her's and her's, him having one shelf. If the entire floor didn't need to be replaced we'd still have it. Like the idea of a solid floor, thus the Cougar. The floor plan is great.
