Utah camping
We just got back from our big spring break trip to Utah. We drove from Long Beach CA to Zion National Park (8 hours), then to Moab (6 hours), which is close to Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park. Our four kids (2-13) did very well in the car. The two year old was able to nap in the car every day. The National parks in Utah are amazing, I highly recommend taking a trip to see them! All in all we traveled 1700 miles in 6 days, it was an awesome trip!
In Zion we stayed at the Zion River RV park. It was a nice park next to a river with a nice pool and hot tub. It was very clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly.
In Moab we stayed and the Moab Valley RV park. It was also very nice, clean, and well maintained. There was a nice pool and hot tub. The views from the RV park were very good.

Thanks for sharing. To us that is an enchanted part of the country and everyone should try to see at least once if they are able.

Utah camping
Beautiful pictures. Sounds like it was a great trip. Was it very crowded this time of year?

The weather was just about perfect and there were definitely people there. Both RV parks we stayed in had no vacancies, they were full. Even though the RV parks were full they didn’t feel too crowded. The National Parks were busy, but not peak season busy. We had good luck going early in the day, later in the day as we were leaving the parks, there were long lines of cars waiting to get in.
On a side note, we used the America the beautiful National Parks pass, which was an annual fee of $80. It more that paid for itself on this trip alone as it cost at least $30 to get into each National Park.

I agree. We enjoyed Utah the most on our trip down to the southwest part of the country. Canyonlands and Arches are spectacular parks that we could have spend weeks longer at.
We hit 8 national parks and monuments in 24 days. It was lightening fast and can't wait to go back.

I recently made a companion video to our Utah trip, I include some tips I learned along the way. Check it out if you like. All of the music is original.

We didn’t do the hike to delicate arch because I’ve got small kids that wouldn’t have made it very easily. We did however do the overlook hike to see delicate arch and we enjoyed it very much.

Utah is definitely one of our favorites... we have not been there since kids were little and we were camping in a popup in a BLM campground right on the river.
Thanks for reminding me of how much fun we had there.
I think we will need to plan a trip out that way... soon.

Thanks very much for the campground tips. I spent the day planning our trip to Utah next year and will look into those campgrounds as soon as I log off.
