Epic fail water pump

Good morning from Tucson.
Our 2016 Fuzion Chrome water pump refuses to "tell us" where its located. The motor activates, but will not send water to toilet.
Manual not helpful. Anyone have a clue ?
Thanks Karen

What does "tell us" mean? No sound? If there's no sound check the fuse as I've not talked to anyone who said their pump couldn't be heard. You state "won't send water to toilet". Is that the only place not working? Is there no water anywhere?

Karen, I also am a little curious what the phrase "The motor activates" means. Generally a water pump is noisy enough that finding the location is a piece of cake.

The water pump is located on the service side of trailer and should be behind the water hookups and flush handles in side the front storage area...There is a clear plastic cover with a screen inside and the cover maybe loose and sucking air. I had one that would just hum and not shut off due to sucking air. The assembly is on the input side of water pump and be careful there is a oring inside the clear plastic cover. Verify it's tight it screws on the housing. Let us know your findings..

Watr pumps are usually noisy enough to find, except when they're not...
We had a situation where the non return valve inside the water pump got jammed by the pressure from the city water inlet. The pump motor would run (endlessly) but didn't pump any water. Because the pump head wasn't pumping, it didn't make the usual sound. The motor by itself is VERY quiet and unless you have your ear right next to it, it is almost impossible to hear.
The fix for the jammed non return valve is simple once you locate the pump. I posted a thread with a picture on the forums here (can't remember the title, but search for my user name) so hopefully, when you locate the pump, that might help.
Also, if you haven't got a water regulator (adjustable with a gauge on it) for your city water connection, you should get one. Have a look at the water pump and see what pressure it is rated for and set your water regulator for around that pressure, not too much higher than that.

Are you opening a valve, toilet or faucet? It won't pump without a pressure drop on the system.

You should also have water in the fresh water tank for the pump to work. If not, you can burn up the pump.

On our Avalanche, there is a switch where the water ports are located that must be turned to “Tank” instead of “City Water” before the water pump will start working. It will initially activate, but just not do anything afterwards unless the switch is in the right position.
