Cougar 327 rear Bike slide out

Just bought new 2014 327 res have they improved the rear slideout bike rack from the reviews i have read.Haven't used it yet to cold.

What do you mean by improved. I know there have been stories about construction and weld issues.

I have a 2014 327RES also. The weak L-shaped slide brackets were starting to bend down with just the weight of the rear tire. I'd hate to think what would happen if I had the bumper tray slid it and had anymore weight cantilevered out on it. I didn't even trust the weight of the tire back there so I've moved the tire to an underside mount.

I removed my complete slide-out rear bumper. Its flimsy and the bike
"post" is only good for damaging your bikes. I made a new rear bumper out of 3/16 wall box tubing and welded in a receiver hitch, now we can use our good swagman bike rack and also pull another trailed with our motorcycle if needed.
