I always carry a basic tool set (wrenches, sockets, hammer, screwdrivers, allen wrenches, etc), a compact air compressor, torque wrench, lug wrench, jack, wood blocks, chocks, hoses, 30 amp extension cord, etc. We carry one 2000 watt generator with us on most trips. No need for two that early in the year, and even though you may not use it, if the power goes out in the campground, you can recharge batteries, etc.
For us, it's more important to have the recreational equipment (fishing rods, tackle, spare line, etc) than it is to have tools. After all, tools mean work, rec stuff means relaxing......
Enjoy your trip, no matter what you forget, remember that there's a WalMart in almost every town and a Harbor Freight in most towns over 70,000 people, so you're never more than 15 miles from a ready source of things forgotten !!!!!
