We've taken the plunge

Last week, we were the winning bid at our local credit union repo auction. We now have a 2017 Passport 2450rlwe sitting in our driveway. This was no spur of the moment purchase. Last year, we bought our tow vehicle, a Ford eco-boost F-150 with the tow package. This last summer, we got our feet wet by renting an R-pod trailer for a week. We discovered what we wanted and what we didn't. Our Passport matched all our must-haves and even gave us a bit more. It is absolutely clear of corrosion, the underside is insulated and the frame is aluminum as are the wheels. The trailer looks to have been originally purchased in Las Vegas which would explain the slight sun exposure and the dust found inside. It doesn't look like it was pulled much... just enough to get it up to the Pacific Northwest and not much more. The credit union cleaned it but they couldn't get everything. It also had pets but that is ok as we have a couple of our own.

The trailer has been winterized... at least that is what I thought when I saw the pink stains in the toilet and sink... I have a couple months to tinker with it... finish gluing the shower surround to the wall, clean out the A/C, fix curtains and blinds, test systems, etc. Looking forward to putting it through its paces around the end of March. A couple trips are planned in April and May before we start using it for the reason we bought it: TRIPS TO THE COAST!!!
