I use a small step stool and a PVC device I made to assist. I will try to get a picture of the PVC arm assembly.

Here is a picture of it attached to my previous truck. I can put the bow up on it, then swing the back over. My DW used to push the front up onto it, but with the higher truck, she holds the back until I get the front up, then I take the back from her to swing it up.

This truck slows the rig down real well. Hardly use the brakes with the exhaust brake on.
