New owner of Raptor 30fs

Hello all - Been camping for 15 years with my 91 22ft prowler and sled deck - Got married and had to step up to the Raptor 30fs pulled by nothing but a 2011 2500HD - Kids and wife love quadding and the Alberta Rockies is the place to do it. Look forward to posting some threads that hopefully will answer one of the Major problems Im having towing the beast.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new camper.

Probably fully loaded that thing must be a bear to tow with a 2500.

We only have a 291RLS fifth wheel at about 10,500 fully loaded and we did a lot of traveling this last year and some areas our ole diesel was giving it all she got!

Happy camping......

Jo

Add to the fact Im pulling with a 6.0 liter gas - 4:10 gears - burning 40 liters plus per 100km. Truck pulls in 4th gear at 3800rpm. I can pull all day at 110km/hr but the fuel is brutal and the engine noise in the cab is getting old. Put 8000km on the trailer since May. Definatly trading up for a diesel again this winter.
