Furrion Install Placement Question

I just purchased the Furrion FOS48TAPK-BL Observation Camera and my trailer (Bullet Premier 26RBPR) is not prewired for one. The instructions call for installing above my running lights, but I see a lot of prewired trailers with it mounted below the lights. I would think at night, the running light directly below the camera will be seen and can effect the quality of the picture. I have plenty of room to mount it either above or below the light.

Does anyone have problems with the camera mounted directly above the running light?

Mine came pre-wired with the mount below the running light.

Mount it below the lights. Mine cane prewired above the lights. At night there is a star burst affect. Until I mounted a visor to the top of the middle light. To keep the light from glaring into the camera.

That was exactly what I was thinking would happen. Below the light seems to be the way to go.

Thought I would post some pics of the camera view when it is mounted above the clearance lights. I made a visor to go on my clearance light which takes away the glare. Will show first with no visor. Then no visor with my back up lights on. Then visor no back up lights and visor with back up lights on. A huge difference. Always mount camera below lights. If someone else is in my boat. Will post pic of the visor I made.

Mine is the furry in observation camera so I do use it driving down the road. Great tool. But does not replace being careful. I drive oversized loads for a living. So a travel trailer is nothing for me. But average guy. I think this can be a great tool to help manage a large rv.

Thanks for the pics. Exactly the kind of camera we've been looking at. Just not sure WHICH observation camera.

We install the Furrion on a LOT of units, very few failures.
