Just Getting Started

After our most recent fiasco dealing with expensive airport parking, bad weather, rude airport personnel, and missed connections, we've decided never again!!! We have embarked on choosing an RV for family vacations; at least for as long as our 17 year old son is willing to be seen in public with Mom and Dad!

We haven't purchased an RV yet but have settled on rear entertainment/rear living configurations. We would like to tow with our current vehicle - a 2012 Chevy 2500HD, extended cab short bed, 6.0 Liter Gas with 3.73 rear axle and heavy duty trailering equipment.

We posted a question in the tow vehicle forum regarding the suitability of the truck to tow our current "favorites" - Sprinter 331RLS; 277RLS and Outback 298RE. But, we're still looking and open to any and all suggestions.

Looking forward to getting started.

To the forum. You will find a lot of help here. We just got back from picking up our daughter at the airport. Confirmed again why I try not to fly. What a pain!

Welcome.
For that truck, power train and axle ratio, I recommend sticking with a trailer with gvwr under 10,000 lbs.
Good luck on your search.
