Slide out question

We have a 2017 Keystone Cougar 28SGS. When the kitchen slide is fully extended the measurement is 23 3/4 " at the bottom from coach body to inside of slide frame at both the front and rear of the slide +/- 1/8". Measurements at the top coach body to inside of slide frame are 22 5/8" both front and back. When the slide is fully retracted the bottom of the slide at the front does not seal, it has a 1/2" gap between body and slide, there is full contact from approximately 1/2 way up the slide to the top. The RV dealer says don't chase it with the adjustments, add a 1/2 tube seal to the coach body and forget it, that's what they do...I have trouble accepting that idea, what are your thoughts? It is a lippert slide system.

Now this is just me I would adjust it. Mine come in and contact at the top first then bottom pulls in to contact and the slide floor kinda comes up a little bit. I think it is on RV repair club website a video on how to adjust it

There is adjustments you can make and IMO the dealer that said to add a D seal is taking the lazy way out.
