pump prime

Question here re the water pump. After having had the tap on, during which time the pump runs, should the pump come on again as the tap is turned on again in a matter of seconds later? Does it loose pressure that fast?

It depends on the capacity of your piping in the system, but it is not unusual for the pump to come on whenever a tap is opened. You can have an accumulator tank installed, that will add some capacity and reduce the number of times the pump comes on. The tank will also make the system run quieter.
