Winterization Question

I know it's the middle of summer but I have a question. When winterizing the trailer this fall. Should I remove the flat screen TV's for storage inside my basement or leave them in their mounts. My previous trailer had a counter top model and I stored it inside the house for the winter. I'm assuming its OK to leave them in the trailer. Am I correct?

I've never removed mine and have never had a problem. Mine have been stored during some pretty bad winters as well.

I for whatever reason take them out and put them in a closet for the winter. I think it is mostly because my son left his laptop in his car one night and the screen froze and something inside cracked or something. Every year I say I might leave the tv's my wife says, remember the computer to removing the is the best and easiest thing to do.

I don't remove mine. I can't see it causing a problem unless you apply power before it has a chance to warm up.
If it's cold in the spring when I take it out of storage I unplug it before applying power to the trailer. Once it is warm I will plug it in.

In over 20 years of RVing I have never removed my TV's and (knock of wood) and have not a problem. I have had LCD's for the past 6 years without a problem.

All electronics shipped in winter in our neck of the woods are exposed to freezing temps, and high temps in summer, before they are ever purchased. IMO, more likely to cause an issue removing and reinstalling than an issue from extreme temps.
