Mysterious vent cap.

Through the four holes I can see a plastic screen and some tin foil, my guess would be the top of the AC duct that is in the garage. There is another on towards the front of the camper as well. Your attic is ventilated - supposedly less condensation buildup.

The rear vent should have a cap just like the front.

Ok, makes sense. I'm missing the back one, something to add to the pre purchase checklist, go on the roof. It has most likely been missing since I purchased it a month ago, now I wonder how much rain water got I to it. For now I put duck tape over the holes until I can get a replacement cap.

That looks like my black tank vent that's above my toilet. Not that that's what yours is, but I know that's what mine is.

Ventilation is exactly what that cap is for. There are two of them. Mine just broke this spring when the cover got caught on it during removal. I purchased a new one and installed it just a few weeks ago.

You can probably find them at any dealers parts department. I think that part is a pretty common piece among manufacturers. I have a local one that I go to for any parts. The vent kit was under $20. I removed all of the old unit and replaced the entire thing. It's only a 30 minute job and looks as good/better than the original.

Called the dealer I purchased the camper from and they shipped me a new one. I was at Pirate Land. Could have been better weather that week but the camper was good.

Howdy All;

If those caps are for ventilation and helping to keep
moisture from building up in the ceiling ... what keeps the rain out ???
Sorry, couldn't quash the need to ask.
