A/C thermostat install?

Has anyone installed a wall thermostat to control a standard roof top manual control? Would like to have the fan cycle on and off too, not just the compressor.

Yes. I bought a 7 day programmable tstat from Lowes for about $35. Powered by 2 AA batteries. Fires furnace, AC fan manual or auto and AC compressor.
Very easy install and best mod to date.

What brand? Where did you get the instructions to connect it to your roof top A/C?

I think it was a Hunter. Any brand will work for standard home ac/furnace application. It just has to be a battery powered model.
As far as installation instructions, I believe I used search in this forum. Multiple posts regarding installation.

Dometic makes a digital RV unit that has 3 fan modes: auto, hi, lo

Auto will cycle the fan with the AC compressor, the other 2 are constant-on fan speeds.
